Rebeca Perez: Architectural Engineering

Rebeca Perez

Name: Rebeca Perez
Hometown: Queens, New York
Major: BS in Architectural Engineering
Year: Sophomore

I grew up in Queens, New York and moved to Denver when I was 11 years old. I had never thought about engineering until I was applying for college because as a kid my biggest passion was art. As I progressed throughout high school, I began to realize that I really enjoyed problem solving and being challenged to think critically and that is when I decided to explore my options in engineering.

When I found out about the Architectural Engineering program at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder I knew I had found the major I wanted to pursue because it was the perfect mix of creativity and applied thinking.

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder offered the right learning environment and experiences for me and the sense of community that I sought for in college.

I am entering my second year as an architectural engineering student at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Boulder, and I have experienced so much growth and love within my major already.

The professors and students create an atmosphere that makes you feel equipped to push yourself academically and mentally. I can confidently say I made the right decision making a home here!
